About — An Atlas for the Modern Traveller

TravelScape is a one-person editorial project that turns public-domain geographic data into cross-referenced reference pages. The atlas covers visa policies between fifty passport countries and monthly climate normals for two hundred cities — currently in English, Korean, and Japanese.

Mission

Travel decisions deserve better than scattered forum posts and stale blog rewrites. We aggregate the same sources embassies and meteorological agencies publish, then present them as a quiet, hand-set reference — free to read, honest about its sources, and consistently structured so you can compare countries and cities on equal footing.

Who runs it

Edited by a single editor-developer in Seoul. Correspondence, corrections, and story tips all land in the same inbox: contact@patrache.store. Reply time is 2–3 working days.

What we publish

Four primary sections: Border Studies (visa matrix), Climate Notes (monthly weather), Country Briefs (per-country overviews), and City Pages (per-city overviews). Long-tail pages cover best-time-to-visit, seasonal summaries, and passport directories.

Editorial stance

We do not rate countries. We do not hide complexity. Where primary sources conflict, we say so. Where we rely on public datasets, we cite them and include the date of the snapshot. Travel is not a listicle.
